Here are a few answers to some common wedding photography questions we get. Do get in touch if you have any more!

Q: What packages do you offer?

A:. We keep our prices simple and offer a standard package that includes two photographers, from the beginning of the day, starting with the preparations, up to the first dance in the evening.

We provide you with a USB with high-resolution edited images, without watermarks. You also have your own personal online password protected gallery for guests to be able to view all of the images from the day. You can download high resolution images directly or order prints from the gallery. The gallery can also be open for guests to print and download from if you would like, but can be kept private if you prefer.

Q: How do you work on the day?

A: At your wedding, we work as a team, so it means that we cover the wedding from two different perspectives and this gives us more chances to capture those significant and emotional moments as well as spontaneous events that happen out of the blue. This gives us an important advantage over photographers shooting on their own who can miss the important moment. We photograph weddings in a documentary style, meaning that we do not interfere with your day but document it as it unfolds. We focus on capturing actual moments as they happen. We have developed an original style, which blends a documentary, reportage approach with creative portraiture.

Q: Do you still take posed group shots?

A: very much so, but we like to keep it short and sweet! We don’t want the guests to be missing the joy of your day. Family group photos are the only images to be specified and we would need a list with people’s names as well as someone who can help us to gather people together if it is a big wedding. We usually recommend no more than 5-10 group photos and one big group shot if required.

Q: How can I book with you?

A: Simply let us know your wedding date and we will check our availability. We will then arrange a time to meet and discuss your wedding plans over a cup of tea and a cake. If you are overseas, we can facetime or skype. If you like what we do you can then book us!

A deposit of 25% of the wedding package fee is required to reserve your day. After paying the deposit, your day is booked. One week before the wedding, the remaining balance will be due. We will send you an invoice for the balance, which can be made by bank transfer.

Q: What happens after we have booked?

A: We arrange when to book you in for your Enagagement shoot. The shoot will usually take about one hour. You will receive 30-40 images in a password-protected gallery, with the ability to download all the images in their original size, without watermarks.

Q: Do I have to have the engagement shoot?

A: No, at all. However, most people have never been professionally photographed before. A pre-wedding shoot is a great opportunity to meet us, and get to know one other. It also helps you to relax in front of the camera in a relaxed environment while having a fun time. When your wedding day arrives, photography is then one thing you do not have to worry about, you will feel relaxed having us around and can forget about us and enjoy your day.

Q: Can we do anything with our images from the pre-shoot for our wedding?

A: Very much so. As part of your wedding package, you choose your very favorite images, from your pre-wedding shoot, whether you choose one or ten images is up to you. We then have these made into personal cards, that we hand out on your wedding day. Your guests get a personal keepsake of the two of you to take home with them. On the back of the cards, we also print the details of where they can see all the images from the wedding. (Once seen and approved by you, of course) We also offer a mounted print of your favorite image for you as an optional extra, that guests can sign on your wedding day. This makes a lovely wall piece to frame and put on your wall, with well wishes for the two of you from all your guests.

Q: Do I own the copyright?

We give full copyright release enabling you to reprint the photos for personal use.


Q: Do you travel?

A: Absolutely, we cover the whole of the UK and internationally also. Within the UK, travel is charged at 45p per mile outside of a 30-mile radius of Bristol. If the wedding is 100 miles or more, we request that accommodation is arranged after the wedding. For weddings overseas expenses also include flights and car hire where necessary.

Q: Do we need to provide you with food?

A: Yes please. We use the time during the wedding breakfast to eat and recharge our energy levels ready for the evening.

Q: Are you insured?

A: Definitely, we have never had cause to use it, but we have both (Public Liability and Professional Indemnity).

Q: What if you are sick and cannot photograph our wedding?

A: In the unlikely event that one or both of us could not attend your wedding, we have a large network of other professional photographers that we know and trust, that we can ask to shoot your wedding, so you do not have to worry. They are of course subject to your approval, and we will still do all of the post editing to make sure you get the style you loved that made you book us in the first place.

Q: When will the photos be ready after the wedding?

A: Photos will be selected and then edited and colour corrected, making sure that they are optimized for printing and on-screen viewing. Within four weeks from the wedding you will be invited to access your private and password-protected gallery to view images. We normally post a few photos as a sneak preview of your wedding on Facebook and our blog-but we always ask permission first. You can then inform your friends and family who can access your Wedding Gallery. They can then view and download images they like without bothering you. We never let photos be seen by family and friends without your approval first.

Q: Do you offer albums, and how do I order one?

A: After you have seen the images from your day and selected your favourite for the album, we will then design the layout to tell the story of your wedding day. The size and number of photos in the album will be determined by the choice you made when deciding on a package, however around sixty images is a good starting point for designing your album. We understand that building the album is a personal and important process, so we also include up to three rounds of changes; multiple change requests may be chargeable.

Q: How long does the Album take to make?

A: Our albums are all hand made and once ordered the album takes between 3-4 weeks to be produced and be delivered to you.
